Willie Quinn President & Chief Executive Officer

Willie is passionate about translating scientific innovation into meaningful therapeutics for people. He was one of the first employees at Jazz Pharmaceuticals, where he worked for more than 8 years. His role included strategy development and execution as Jazz transformed from a raw startup to a public, profitable specialty pharma company. Most of his time was in business development, where he completed many types of deals including in-licensing, co-development, out-licensing, and contract manufacturing. He ultimately led Corporate Development for several years before leaving in 2011 to found Bullet Bio. Before Jazz, Willie was Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Novation Biosciences, a biotech software company that was acquired by Agilent Technologies. Mr. Quinn first developed his interest in Life Sciences while he was an Associate Partner at Mobius Venture Capital, where he worked for two funds totaling over $2 billion and managed a portfolio of 12 companies.

He currently is a Director and Treasurer of A Foundation Building Strength, a nonprofit organization dedicated to finding treatments for Nemaline Myopathy, a congenital neuromuscular disorder that causes severe muscle weakness. Mr. Quinn is also a Director for Midnight Pharma and Neurogastrx, and has served as an advisor to UCSF’s T1 Catalyst Program and Stanford’s SPARK program.

Willie has an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business and an MA and BA from Stanford University. He speaks Japanese and loves reading and creating things in his kitchen and woodshop.
